December: Cell Phone Imagery Style

I've realized that if I ever get an iPhone, it will be used mostly for the Instagram app to take pictures — not to make phone calls.
Le Sigh.
Yeah, that's a photographer for you. ;-)

Here is a little peak of my December month through cell phone images.
Sometimes with my LG Lotus Elite phone, and whenever possible,
with my sister's super fabulous iTouch (and Instagram!)

I finally got myself a personal sized french press.
My favorite thing to do is brew my Aveda Comfort tea with it.

This would be me, after doing a family portrait session in 6"-8" deep snow!
I was cold, but it was fun. :)

Ahhh, Starbucks holiday coffee...

My sister Cheri came home from Georgia for Christmas.
She and I visited the 29th Street Mall in Boulder, CO, and had a fabulous time.
PS. I visited 'Anthropologie' for the first time...

I love a Peppermint Mocha.

We love coffee.

Us in front of the mall Christmas tree:

Bing Crosby & Frank Cinatra were played OFTEN in my car throughout the month of December.

I emptied out my antique desk to (hopefully) sell on Craigs List so I can buy another desk for my 'office'!

A pajama clad group of 9 people gathered in the livingroom
& around the Christmas tree on Christmas morning.
(Sorry, no pictures of Pajama-Clad persons) ;)

The after-math ;-)

Christmas Dinner. I especially love Mom's stuffing! It's loaded with butter. ;-)

Sparkling Grace Juice to drink with dessert:

I found the circular, green pillow at Hobby Lobby for 50% off!
At first I wasn't sure if all 3 pillows matched, but I think they might do!
(I've had the two pillows behind it for a while - they came from Pier 1 Imports)

My favorite ground coffee as of late: Caribou Coffee's Obsidian.

New business cards & a new moleskin journal to kick in New Year 2012!

I waited till the day after Christmas to buy a little Christmas tree for 50% off.
I also found some lovely red, glass balls to hang on it.
Haven't found a small string of white lights anywhere for it yet — maybe next Christmas!

On a more serious note, the Lord has been teaching me His All Sufficiency. No matter what it is — your business, home, family, friends, marriage, relationships, finances... it will all fall apart if not built on Christ. All of these things are not bad things in and of themselves, but if we're relying on them to make us complete, we will - without fail - be disappointed.

We like to ask questions like, How? What? Why? When? Where? But the answer is all about WHO. When Moses was bowing before God at the burning bush, he asked God, "Who am I that I should lead this people? What will I tell them who sent me?" God said, "I Am." All of life's questions are answered in 'I Am.' (read Exodus 3)

Unless my life is built on Christ and Christ alone, all else fails. As a person who has surrendered their life and all to Christ, I have no right to demand what my future will hold. When God says 'no' it only means that He has something BETTER for me. (And he knows me better than I know myself!) His plan is always for our good and for His glory.

Who am I to say that the God who created me, and knows me intimately, doesn't know what is the BEST for me?

"Now to him who is able to do FAR MORE ABUNDANTLY than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen." Eph. 3:20, 21
