Hello, I'm a Photography Geek

I have to admit, I'm kind of a photography geek. ;-)

I think this lens mug is one of the coolest things invented. I can't wait to enjoy my morning coffee from it!

I've always loved miniature sized things. Isn't this miniature camera model adorable? :D

And just as a side note, I took all of these images (except the last one) with my new 85mm f/1.8 lens.

Ahhh, I think I'm falling in love with it more every day!!

Hey, Nice mug, But I'd rather take the Unibody MacBook Pro behind it... :-)

Hey Leah! I found you and your blog through IPS.... I enjoy your work :)

I'm curious to know if you know how the f/1.8 compares to the 1.2? I rented the 1.2 and fell in love with it, but it's quite a bit more expensive :S Which is making me wonder if it's really worth it.....

Hey Kelly! Thanks for stopping by! I'll be honest with you.. I've heard of you on numerous occasions through the IPS world. ;)

I settled with the 1.8 just because maaany pro photographers said that they actually liked the focusing on the 1.8 *better* than the 1.2! Plus, the 1.2 is waaay more expensive, and I don't have that kind of money. :P

oooh, that's awesome that you've heard my name ;)

Ok, that's really cool to know about the 1.8, because it just put a new lens a lot closer to my camera bag :)

Wow, where did you put the lens mug? Me wants one ;) It's so neat!
Great shots as always; I think I need to get one of those 85 mm 1.8's too.
Do you buy your stuff from B&H or where have you found the best deals?
I'm slowly working myself up to buy another lens... I just hate parting with hard earned cash but now that I am more familiar with my camera, I feel like it's time. Plus I know that these lenses will fit on pretty much any Canon model that I'll ever own. At least that's what I've read/heard.

Hey Samantha, check out:

I personally do most of my photo gear shopping at Amazon.com, though I know others who prefer B&H Photo! :-)

Thank you! I almost got a camera on Amazon but went with Craigslist and my aunt to be in Minneapolis ;)
Besides, you can earn free Amazon cards through Swagbucks, Irazoo, etc so sounds good to me. That's how I obtained my UV filter and extra battery before we went on our trip in July.
